MIMETES
proteaceae family
An often forgotten member of the Proteaceae family, having some of the more difficult and particular varieties to grow and propagate, when you see a Mimetes you are seeing something special. Housing just thirteen species, the genus is defined by its flower formation where the leaves at the top of the stem are subtending the flower head in a unique and exotic structure. These plants are both beautiful and incredibly rare, so treasure any moment you have with a Mimetes.
