Top Tips For Summer         

Mulch: Now is a great time to mulch around your proteas to reduce water evaporation over summer. Any natural oragnic mulch is fine. 
Water: Proteas are pretty hardy and very drought tolerant when established but they need a little love over the first 2 summers. We suggest watering at least twice a week, prefeably once a day when it's really hot.  
Prune: Don't forget to cut the dead flowers off your protea plants, they love a good prune. For tips on how to do this check out our pruning section.
